Free plan

Free, and I do not mean thirty days

Search for free appointment software and mostly you find trials. Fourteen days, thirty days, "start free" with a credit card field underneath. You load in your services, your clients get used to it, and right about the time you start leaning on it, the bill arrives.

This works differently, and it seems fairer to tell you where the ceiling is now than to let you find it in two months.

The free plan is: 1 staff member, 5 services, unlimited appointments. No credit card, no trial that runs out. If you need more than that, it is €5 a month.

Why "free" usually means something else

There are roughly three kinds of free in this corner of the market. There is the trial, which is really just deferred payment. There is the free plan that is deliberately too tight to work with — a handful of bookings a month, or a booking page with the vendor's logo across it. And there is the plan that works fine until you discover that email reminders are a paid add-on.

That last one stings the most, because reminders are the entire reason you installed the thing.

I have tried to keep this simple. The free plan is complete for someone working alone. Not stripped back, no watermark on your page, and the useful parts are not sitting behind a wall.

What the free plan includes

This is the whole list, not the highlights:

  • Your own public booking page. One link for your Instagram bio or your WhatsApp status. Clients book themselves, including while you are working or asleep.
  • Unlimited appointments. No monthly cap. The number of bookings is never what you run into.
  • Email confirmations and reminders. Automatic, and included. This is not a separate purchase.
  • Working hours, breaks and blocked days. Your lunch, your Tuesday off, two weeks in August. Clients can only book when you are actually there.
  • Client list and a daily overview. Who is coming today, who has been here before, which number went with that name.
  • The waitlist. When someone cancels, the slot is offered to the next person on the list automatically and held for them while they decide. Here is exactly how that works.

That last one is the item I think earns you the most, and it is the one most systems keep in their top tier.

Where the ceiling is, and what happens when you hit it

Two limits, and nothing else.

  • 1 staff member. You. If you hire someone, or there are two of you, you need Pro.
  • 5 services. For most one-person businesses that is enough: cut, cut and wash, colour, blow-dry, beard. If your menu is longer than that, it becomes Pro.
  • Extras do not count. A surcharge or an add-on attached to a service is not a separate service. You can add as many of those as you like.
  • Deactivating does not give a slot back, deleting does. That is deliberate: otherwise you could create a service inactive and switch it on afterwards, and the limit would mean nothing.

You only meet the ceiling at the moment you reach it, and then you get a message telling you what you have run into. Everything you already had stays exactly as it is — nothing is ever switched off retroactively.

What it does not do

This belongs on the page too, because you will find out anyway and it may as well be now:

  • It does not send text messages. Everything goes by email. If your clients do not read email, this works less well for them. SMS is on the list, but it is not in the product today.
  • You cannot pay us yet. Pro exists and the free limits are real, but there is no payment processor connected. If you hit the ceiling and want to go further, send me a message and I will switch it on by hand. That is the honest state of things, not a sales tactic.
  • There is no app. It runs in the browser, on your phone and on your laptop. That is a decision, not a promise for later.
  • It does not take payments from your clients. They book online and pay you the way they already do.

What it takes to start

Budget half an hour, and then it is genuinely running.

  1. Create an account

An email address and a password. No credit card, no call with a salesperson, no demo to schedule.

  2. Enter your services and hours

What you do, how long it takes, what it costs, and when you work. This is the only part that actually requires sitting down.

  3. Share the link

Instagram bio, WhatsApp status, Google profile. The first bookings arrive on their own after that.

Frequently asked questions

Is it actually free, or is it a trial?

Actually free, and it does not expire. No credit card is required and there is no date on which it stops. The free plan has two limits: 1 staff member and 5 services. Above that there is a paid plan at €5 a month.

How many appointments can I book on the free plan?

As many as you can handle. There is no cap on appointments, not monthly and not yearly. The free plan limits are only about the number of staff and the number of services.

What happens if I try to add a second staff member?

You get a message saying the free plan includes 1 staff member. Nothing changes about what you already have: your calendar, your clients and your appointments stay put. At that point you can choose to move to Pro.

Do extras and surcharges count toward the service limit?

No. Only services a client can book on their own count toward the 5. Extras attached to an existing service do not count and are unlimited.

What do I get on the paid plan?

For €5 a month both limits disappear: unlimited staff and unlimited services. On top of that you get per-staff schedules and commissions, multiple locations, fuller reporting and priority support.

Do I have to leave my card details?

No. Creating an account does not ask for payment details, and at the moment there is no payment processor connected at all, so nothing can be charged.
